Our Welcome Statement

First Lutheran Church, a congregation of the ELCA, is committed to embodying the radical love and inclusion of Jesus Christ. As followers of Christ, we pledge to welcome, respect, serve, and care for our neighbors.

As a faith community, we are committed to being a welcoming and safe place for those marginalized by society. We affirm, with the Apostle Paul, that in Christ, "there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female" (Galatians 3:28). As one in Christ Jesus, we recognize our responsibility to proclaim that the Gospel is Christ’s gift to all people.

At First Lutheran Church, we share the Gospel message of love, grace, mercy, and hope with all people, regardless of age, appearance, race, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, physical or mental health, dis/ability, family or marital status, economic status, political views, housing status, history of incarceration, place on your faith journey, or anything that divides us.
